Accessibility

Our commitment

Singh Law HQ is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, need larger text or stronger contrast, or are sensitive to motion.

We treat that as a build requirement rather than an add-on. Accessibility is written into the site’s HTML and CSS — it is not delegated to a plugin.

The standard we build to

This site is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We believe it substantially conforms to that standard. We say “substantially” deliberately: the site is tested continuously with automated tools and reviewed by hand, but it has not been through a formal third-party audit, and we would rather describe that accurately than claim more than we can show.

What that means in practice

• Semantic structure — real headings, lists, and landmarks, so screen readers can announce the page and let you skip through it.
• Keyboard access — every link, button, and form field can be reached and operated without a mouse, with a visible focus outline showing where you are.
• Contrast — text colours are chosen to meet or exceed the AA contrast requirement rather than to match a palette.
• Labelled forms — every field on the case evaluation form has a real label, and errors are announced rather than shown only as colour.
• Text alternatives — meaningful images carry descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology instead of read aloud as noise.
• Reduced motion — if your device is set to reduce motion, animations are turned off.
• Touch targets — controls are sized for a thumb on a phone, which is how most people reach this site.
• Resizable text — text reflows when you zoom or enlarge it, without content being cut off.

The accessibility toolbar

The button in the corner of every page opens a toolbar that can adjust text size, contrast, spacing, and cursor size, and offers a dyslexia-friendly typeface. It is a convenience layer on top of an already accessible site — not a substitute for one, and not something you need to use for the site to work with your own assistive technology.

It runs entirely from our own server and sends nothing to any third party. Your settings are stored in your browser so they persist as you move between pages; our privacy policy describes that storage.

Language access

Saloni Singh handles consultations in English, Spanish, Punjabi, and Hindi, directly — not through an interpreter service. If you would be more comfortable in one of those languages, say so when you call and we will continue in it.

Known limitations

We would rather list these than pretend they do not exist:

• Some third-party content we link to — social media posts, news coverage, mapping services — is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
• Documents or images supplied by others, such as press coverage, may not always carry full text alternatives. Ask us and we will provide the content in another format.
